does anyone watch the morning eye news that comes on in the morning at 7 am? (on ch. 20 on my cablevision box)
today's eye report was nice to watch and i even understood some of things they were saying. it was somthing to celebrate the summer in this prefecture. ill have to rewind the tape to see if i can catch what town they were talking about. when i go to their english news website equivalent it feels like they leave stuff out. much like what they do for the fujitv.co.jp website. the japanese one looks so interesting but when you click on the english button it takes you to a site that looks like a corporate thing.
(its so annooying when they do that.)

im learning japanese so when watching the news i just wing it with what their saying by some of the kanji they post on the screen.

In the passing of tens of thousands of years, only a few decades are given to you. What meaning do these years hold? Among the billions of lives that have become, what is the significance of yours?
That is up to you to find out. There is no truth in this world, yet the world is full of truths. To find meaning in your life, you must first discover the meaninglessness of your life.

Wait do you understand Japanese? Or just follow along like I do? I seen an eye report with the men who said would say to their spouses "I love you" or "I'm sorry" That was okay. It must of took a lot of guts though.

you know something funny that i realised the other day durring dinner. I had seen one of the eye reports from a couple of weeks ago.All i could tell from it was that there was this sort of elderly lady(70ish) getting off the escalator with 'fans' people calling out to her and taking her picture. they next showed the lady playing the piano with an ensemble of foreign players. at the time i just thought she was a famous pianist or something, but when looking through the mail that i got from the japan embassy from japan,I came across a picture of the emperor and empress of japan walking in a garden like place. at first i thought finally a picture of the imperial family thats in a different setting than that room that looks fake. when i looked at the empresss it clicked that she was the lady playing the piano and that was why the people in the airport were calling out to her! idk now it sounds kind of not funny but it was to me at the time.

no its fully in japanese and claim that if you go to fnn.fujitv.co.jp/en they have the news with an english summary.(when i go i never see what I wanted to know in english.)
oh and to comment on that sumo wrestler I was wondering these past few weeks why they kept talking about him. all i could understand was that he was in mongolia playing soccer. I thought it was about that he decided to switch sports and some people werent happy about it.

I got to start watching the Japanese news more. There are some interesting and peculiar hobbies out there. On the Friday news I saw a story of a big balloon grasshopper being pumped up of air. I don't know the reason, forgot. The other one was of this sumo wrestler who was being reprimanded for playing soccer when he said he was to injured to wrestle...I think.

Question: Does the Fujisankei news program dub or subtitle their American broadcast (your ch. 20)?

lately the eye reports that come on around the 35-40 minute of the news have been interesting and informative. the thursday eye report was (im guessing) about fanatical collectors of some kind of item. they showcased a man who collects life size cardboard cutouts of celebrities and from advertising. there was a part in the segment when he was talking about one of the cutouts (which i think was his favorite) and it was a bit creepy like what are you doing with it when no onw is around.(it was a female cutout). They also showed this guy who collects old style barbering tools. (they were all rusty looking). the last person featured was a 19 year old who had on (what my sister described as wierd but i thought was really cute) this dark blue mandarin dress (which i think is called a chong sam but not sure) had her hair in pig tails, with one of the locks of hars held with a big butterfly decal and some beads on a string hanging down and some round eyeglasses.(before they said her age i thought she was maybe like 16 but whatever.)
anyhoo her hobby was collecting butterflies and moths. she showed the news lady that she had over 3,000 specimens of butterflies and moths combined. she also showed the lady that she had some coccons in her room that she, the collector, was waiting to 'hatch'. Me and the lady where both like what is that!? (they looked kind of non appealing).
yeah the eye reports are now the only part i record.

[I know that was very long. Sorry]

I now get the Fujisankei news at 9 am. I haven't been watching it though.

But I know what you are talking about concerning the fuji.co.jp website, it also happens at the www.nhk.or.jp website.
